Draginja Brkić, 94, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Born on August 30, 1931 in Bosansko Grahovo, Republic of Srpska, to father Jovan and mother Milka Arežina. Memory eternal.

Dearly beloved wife of Jovan Brkić; loving mother of Siniša (Timka) Brkić and Branka (Petar) Kesić; proud grandmother of Saša and Nebojša Brkić, Lana Kesić and Nina (Nikola) Cvijanović; caring sister of Marija (Aćim) Malinović, Sreten (Smiljana) Arežina and Zora Ivanović.

Draginja will be sorely missed by families Brkić, Arežina, Cvijanović, Malinović, Kesić and Ivanović as well as numerous other family members, kumovi and dear friends in the Republic of Srpska, Serbia, the USA and worldwide.

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W Grant Avenue, Third Lake IL 60046.

Interment at the Most Holy Mother of God Cemetery.

After the interment Daća (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon) was served at the monastery.
