Jelka Gvero, age 87, beloved wife of the late Jovan, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Born on October 25, 1934 in Šumnjaci, Glamoč in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to father Marko and mother Stanica Srebro.

Jelka is survived by her loving son Dušan (Vesna) Gvero: Her caring grandchildren: Suzana, Jelena and Jovan.

Jelka’s kind and generous heart will be sorely missed by numerous other family members, Kumovi and dear friends in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, the USA and worldwide.

Visitation Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 9 p. m. at Sveta Gora Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60641.

Mali Pomen, (Serbian Orthodox Wake Service), will take place at 7 p.m. at Sveta Gora.

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) and funeral will take place on Monday, May 30, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bežaniska Kosa Cemetery in Belgrade, Serbia.
